Wendy Pearson from Veterans Outreach Support kindly visited our November Branch Meeting to give a presentation about the armed forces charity 'Veterans Outreach Support' (VOS) for which she is the 'Wellbeing and Volunteers Manager'. Wendy is ex navy now works for VOS full time.

Based in the Royal Maritime Hotel (formerly the Royal Sailors Home Club) in Portsmouth, Veterans Outreach Support (VOS) has been providing a monthly Drop-In facility for ex-servicemen and their direct family members since July 2008.

​

They support veterans from the UK Armed Forces and Merchant Navy along with their spouses, partners and carers throughout Portsmouth, the Isle of Wight, Gosport, Fareham, and more widely, Hampshire and the south of England.

​

They provide support covering many topics including mainly Welfare, Wellbeing and Mental health. Expert in many fields are available at VOS 'Drop in' sessions in Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight.

​

The 'VOS Drop-In' takes place on the first Wednesday of every month from 1400 to 1700 (new registrations welcome to arrive from 1330) in the Royal Maritime Club, Queen Street, Portsmouth.

The VOS Mission Statement is, ‘To meet the welfare, wellbeing and mental health needs of veterans, including spouses, partners and carers.’
